![]() A quick bio:
I served more than 6 years in the United States Army as an Infantry Fire Team Leader, and also have experience as a Small Kill Team Leader, and Squad Leader. I was selected, on multiple occasions, to train the German, Czech, Afghan, and Iraqi Armies on weapons and small unit tactics. I completed one 15 month tour in Iraq and a 12 month tour in Afghanistan.
I have completed a variety of different military and civilian training in different fields, including courses taught by some of the world's most professional soldiers. I served as an instructor and subject matter expert for various subjects in my military career, including rifle marksmanship and close quarters battle. I am a nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician, and am currently pursuing a degree in criminal justice. I also help prepare soldiers for the battlefield by working for the 91st Army Reserve Training Division as a Combat Trainer (O/C-T). I continue to expand my knowledge base and skill set at every opportunity.
A bit about my training:
Although I do shoot some competitions, I am not a competition shooter. If you are looking to win your local 3 gun match: I do have some things to offer you, but the focus of my training is combat. I am not trying to slander; I am just being honest. Competition is a great tool for the technical aspects: speed and accuracy. But you need to recognize that there is a huge difference between technical and tactical.
If you want to learn how to fight and win in a kinetic engagement, especially with a carbine or rifle, then you are at the right place. Speed and accuracy are still big players, but I also promote and teach (in no particular order): discrimination, problem solving, reliability, adaptability, use of cover, fire and maneuver, security, planning, etc. Just a quick example: Speed is never more important than safety, discrimination, or proper use of cover.
If all you want is be fast and accurate to win matches; I can help to a certain point. If you want to improve your knowledge-base and skill-set to help you fight and win a kinetic engagement, then look no further.
